Customer emailed this question in: “I was wondering if you could advise me on some classes for our Pesticide Certified Employees, it is my understanding they need to complete 20 hours of continuing education to maintain their certificate.
Answer: It looks like your guys took our class in March this year so that means they have only held their QAC Licenses for less than 12 months on Dec 31, 2010, therefore NO CE hours are required to renew this year. Only the people who’s last name starts with the letter “A” thru “L” will need to renew, they just need to complement the renewal application http://pesticideguides.com/Renewal.html and submit the renewal fee to DPR(no ce credit hours are required) see below
If I am a first-time renewal applicant, then do I have to meet the same continuing education (CE) requirements as those who have been licensed/certified for two years or more?
It depends. If you are a first-time renewal applicant and your license/certificate has been issued for:
• Less than 12 months, then no CE hours are required.
• 12 to 20 months, then one-half of the CE hours are required.
• 21 to 24 months, then all of the CE hours are required.
